Starting in 1866 with the Hazelton family planting the first orange trees in Fresno County, the roots of Kings River Packing run deep in the central valley citrus industry. Beginning with a few small ranches, their citrus growing operations grew until 1977 when Douglas Hazelton identified the need for a quality independent shipper and packer in the Sanger area. With the help of his daughters and son-in-laws, Doug began packing his own fruit and Kings River Packing, LP was founded.
Since then, the founding family has worked hard to build a reputation for superior quality and customer service based on their family values. These values are the core of what makes Kings River Packing special.
